Musical Lion king Show,Tickets at Lyceum Theatre
Lyceum Theatre London
having been present in London since 1765; could be regarded as the oldest theatre in London. It is a West End theatre, located on Wellington Street, off the Strand, in the City of Westminster, London. It was notable architect Samuel Beazley who designed the current structure that opened on 14th July 1834. In 1904, the theatre was rebuilt by Bertie Crewe which he decorated in rich rococo style but retained the facade and portico designed by Beazley.
In 1809, the theatre evolved as a license house and was used by the Drury Lane Company for hosting dramatic performance until 1812 after their theatre was burnt down in fire. In 1816, Samuel Arnold rebuilt the house and was named The English Opera House when it reopened. The Lyceum Theatre became famous for being the first theatre in London to be lit by gas, for hosting performances of Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte and for being the home to Lion King.
